So now we’re all asking why the Jenny Hyun thing isn’t being brought to light by many of the kpop info websites.

a-star-away:

There are a bunch of different (probably irrelevant) excuses for why sites like AKP are seemingly ignoring the issue but the best reason is probably the same reason that blunt racism is often ignored everywhere in the world including the U.S.

It’s easy for them.

It takes absolutely no work and real mental reflection on what’s right and wrong in the world to publish some dumb ass article about minor things that Block B did and still get their same readers flocking the articles and thus, making their website matter.

It does take thought, however, to take a damned side on real problems that are more than relevant to everyone (not only blacks and asians, racism touches everyone) and be forced to anger those readers who actually are racist/make excuses for racism/are comfortable in silence and to therefore lose those readers.

Not to mention they’d have to be on top of the racism thing constantly after this, which really only means that they’d have to be decent human beings who care about the welfare of other human beings for the rest of the website’s existence. But of course, that’s work. That’s possibly too difficult for them and requires them to look outside of their own small spheres to actually give a damn about legitimate problems that push the world further back in racial progress everyday.

It’s sad but not hard to believe and even expected, so I’m not as angry at them as I probably should be. I’m more genuinely pissed at those fans who chose to defend Jenny and/or ignore the situation all together.

You have nothing to lose in actually doing something. You definitely know people that it affects and losing followers for speaking the damned truth is a minor loss when this simple bitch is talking about wiping out an entire race of people.

You’re no better than disgusting if you can sit back and accept this. I honestly don’t care how nice you are or what you’re good at because those things don’t matter when the question of whether or not people deserve to be alive based on the color of their skin is asked.

I usually don’t like to think of things as black or white. I would normally assess the situation and try to see what’s made Jenny this way but honestly, who the fuck cares when she claims to know that racism is wrong. She’s hypocritical and nothing going on in her life can justify what she said. Nothing on Black person has done to her and account for the behavior of every POC in the world. There’s no gray area in that and you’re seriously missing some things if you think there is.

Basically a blog dealing with racial issues, mostly in America but with some posts about other countries as well. While there will be many posts dealing with the black/white binary, I also hope to shed much focus on race issues concerning First Peoples, Latinos, Middle Easterners, South Asians, East Asians, Southeast Asians, people who are bi or multiracial, and any other minority groups I may have forgotten to mention.
